About Me

Kris Nelson

Aloha, my name is Kris Nelson.

Growing up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and playing ice hockey for twenty years, I never imagined I would be spending my vacations as an adult in a tropical paradise.

Yet after our first trip to Maui in 2006, my wife Cindy and I fell head over heels with the Valley Isle and have been back every year since. To help capture our own memories of our time on the island, I became a shutterbug and started snapping away.

The result was a collection of photographs that hang from the walls in my office, sit on my desk at work, grace the digital picture frame I got for Christmas, and delight our friends and family who love the islands just as much as we do.

So, after creating my own Maui website, Ka'anapali Dreamin', and sharing my experiences from the island, I wanted share my photos with a larger audience. By creating this website, I hope to share the Aloha with even more fans of Maui than I could ever meet in person.

So thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the selection and quality you find here. I like looking at photos from Maui just as much as I enjoy taking them, and I can talk story about Hawaii for hours, so if you have photos on SmugMug or Flickr or wherever, or want to share your experiences with Maui, Contact Me.

Mahalo Nui Loa and Aloha A Hui Hou.
